WOW! I knew I wanted an iPad and kind of used being able to use it with my speech kiddos as an "excuse" to buy one. Little did I know how AMAZING it would be and how much my students love 'playing' with it!
I had seen a couple of apps advertised in various speech-language catalogs and couldn't wait to get started using my new toy. I have been using some very cool activities from the iTunes app store. There's everything from (not so) traditional flashcards for practicing speech sounds to a glitter scratch-off board that we use to write and practice spelling words!
Ask your children how they have been able to use the iPad in speech with Mrs. Head!! We have been so excited as we discover new ways to work on speech and language skills - just don't tell them they are WORKING - they think they are 'playing'!!
